Alloy Wheel Straightening & Crack Repair
Alloy wheel straightening and crack repair maybe needed after hitting a pothole too hard.. or mounting a curb, these can be the cause of alloy wheel buckles or cracks to appear. When your wheel gets buckled it needs to be straightened. 99% of the time the alloy can be straightened out, which usually takes a few hours. Kerbed Wheels can repair bent or cracked alloy wheels in a few hours or next day service if in really bad condition. We can offer alloy wheel straightening as part of our alloy refurbishment service, if you have a buckled alloy, we can do a cheaper price as part of a package, please message us for more details.
If you can feel a vibration or shaking from your steering wheel or excessive tyre wear or tyres which don’t seem to be lasting very long after purchase, this would mean your alloy wheels have occurred some sort of damage. If your alloy wheels come into our unit with (unknowingly) a buckled wheel, we will either give you a call or email you to let you know before going ahead with the process of alloy wheel straightening.
A buckled wheel can cause leaking air from the tyres, which can easily be mistaken for a puncher, feel free to give us a call, for us to assess your wheels!

The strength of your alloy will NOT be affected by alloy wheel straightening, although we would suggest avoiding driving over any large potholes to avoid further damage to the alloy wheel.

When an alloy wheel shows a visible crack or cracks this doesn’t mean it is the end of the wheel. Cracked alloys are commonly caused by kerbs, potholes or uneven roads.
